Maria is an award-winning and internationally accredited photographer who specializes in portraiture–beauty, couples, family, maternity, and professional headshots. Her  signature is the ability to capture the unique and sometimes quirky characteristics of each client and to show those characteristics in print. Maria’s service centers on putting her clients at ease from the initial inquiry until the day of the photoshoot.  Maria has been awarded for her work as a professional photographer and she has been recognized for her high- quality service to clients and organizations that support and empower women as well as organizations that provide international medical care to underserved populations. 
In addition to photography, Maria is also the host of Clued Up: The Behind the Scenes Photography Podcast. Clued Up offers photographers and photography enthusiasts intimate details of the complexities involved in developing photo shoots from concept to the day of the session. In her podcast she discusses numerous topics related to photography.
As a photography educator, Maria provides  a unique teaching model of one-on-one and small group photography education to budding photographers.
Maria holds a Certificate in Photography and Professional Digital Retouching from Pace University.  She is recognized as an internationally accredited photographer through The Portrait Masters and can be found in the Find a Photographer Directory of the Portrait Masters website. Her photographs served as the background for some of the episodes in the most recent season of the Smithsonian Channel’s Art Nation, and her work has been part of a permanent rotating display at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School’s Newark Campus. 
Maria continues to work as an Advance Practice Nurse and utilizes her copyediting certification as a copyeditor and reviewer for healthcare journals, publishers, and authors.
